Maps: Another random feature which would be awesome to include is random map selection, or customizability. I am not certain if it exists already (although I swear I've seen some evidence), but random AI's should also pick random amulets and perks such that their playstyle is a little different.
This adds a HUGE amount to the replay value of a game if playing single player, or if you are short in a multiplayer. You can random which Civilisation you play, what the map looks like, and have the AI opponents be randomly generated. Armello is already using some of this key feature through random card drawing, quests, and map generation!Īn excellent example of this is Sid Meyer's Civilisation V.
